Tech-Savvy Wedding Tip: Use QR Codes for Effortless RSVPs

Hey there, soon-to-be newlyweds! Are you looking for a modern and convenient way to streamline the RSVP process for your upcoming wedding? Go digital by using QR codes! Here is why:

Fast: When guests scan the QR code, they're directed to your RSVP form. Which means you'll receive responses faster. No need to wait on snail mail.

Reliable: Speaking of snail mail. None of your RSVP's will be lost in the mail since it's all done digitally.

Organized: See your guest count at a click of a button for easy planning for catering, seating chart, etc.

Sustainable: Go green by reducing paper usage. QR codes contribute to a more sustainable wedding experience.

Now, here's how to make the most of QR codes for your wedding invitations:

Step 1: Create Your Online RSVP Form

Start by setting up an online RSVP form using a tool like Google Forms. Before creating your from think through all of the fields you would like your guests to fill. At a minimum, we suggest including fields such as full name (for seating chart), whether they are coming to the wedding, number of guests in attendance, dietary restrictions/meal preferences. You can also include optional fields such as song requests.

Step 2: Generate Your QR Code

Using a QR code generator (many are free online), create a QR code that links directly to your RSVP form. It's as simple as copy-pasting the form's URL into the generator and clicking "generate QR code."

Step 3: Include the QR Code on Your Invitations

Include your QR code on the wedding invitations. You have a few options on where to place the QR codes. Our advice is to place it on a RSVP card. Under the QR code include a sweet message to encourage guests to scan the QR code to RSVP. Something like, "No need for postage, just a scan will do, we're excited to celebrate with you!" What about Grandma Jane and Aunt Sue, who may not be as tech savvy? We hope you will either give them a call to ask for their RSVP’s or print a few special traditional RSVP’s and have them RSVP like they used to back in the day.

Step 4: Monitor and Manage RSVP's

As RSVPs start rolling in, you can easily track and manage them online. This allows for a seamless guest list, table assignments, and catering planning. A tip to keep in mind, when downloading the RSVP's from Google Form, make sure to save that excel file regularly. This will keep the file up to date in case you accidentally delete the file with all the RSVP's.

So, are you ready to embrace the future of wedding RSVPs with QR codes? Your guests will appreciate the convenience, and you'll appreciate the efficiency. It's a win-win for everyone involved!
